This is my introductory post. I am Manoj Sharma. I was borne in a tiny hamlet in Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan on 14th June, 1973. I spent my initial 13 years at my village and studied till 08th class. Thereafter, I moved to a relatively bigger town of Ramganj Mandi in Kota district of Rajasthn in 1986 where I studied in till class-XII.
I did my B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) from Udaipur (Rajasthan) in 1995-96. I worked with couple of pvt. organizations for a period of 01 year. Then, I joined AMUL at Palanpur (Gujarat) in Dec.,1996. I worked there till Novemebr 2002 in Processing, Operations, TQM-HRD, Training & Development areas. While staying at AMUL, Palanpur; I enhanced my academic qualifications witha Masters Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations through an off-campus programme of SYMBIOSIS Institute of Management Studies (SIMS); Pune in 1997-99. I also completed another off-campus programme in M.S. (Quality Management) from BITS; Pilani in 2002. SInce I had developed interest in general management, HR & Training areas; I switched to Resonance, Kota (Rajasthan) in Novemebr, 2002.
Resonance (www.resonance.ac.in) is a coaching institute for IIT-JEE preparation/coaching to the students of classes-XI, XII & XIII. The founder of the institute is Mr R.K. Verma (an IIT-Madras Alumnus, 1994 Batch) happens to be my schoolmate during 1986 to 1990.
I joined Resonance as General Manager and later on promoted as Additional Director (Administration & Management) in April 2009. My job profile inlcudes overall administration & management and supporting role in academic managemnt, strategic management & business development areas.
I like to read a lot (mostly management related books and biographies of successful leaders) and incorporate the learnings into my work through developing management practices suitable to the functioning of Resonance.
I like to ineteract with like-minded people; counsel students/parents on career related issues.
I wish to express my views on educational developments and contemporrary issues through this blog. I will be expecting critical feedback/reviews/suggestions of the redears.
